Welsh mezzo-soprano Angharad Rowlands and her duo partner, Joseph Cavalli-Price, both making their St John's début, are the first performers in a new season of six summer lunchtime concerts. Their programme will include works by Frank Bridge, Joseph Canteloube, Henri Duparc, and Herbert Howells, amongst other composers.
Please note that due to the extremely hot weather forecast for Tuesday this concert will now be taking place on Thursday 21st July instead of Tuesday 19th.
As ever the church will be open for an hour before the concert begins, with volunteers from the pop-up café team offering lots of home made sweet and savoury treats as well as hot and cold drinks.
The concert will begin promptly at 1pm. Admission is free, but those who are able to afford it are asked to make a donation. The suggested amount is £5.
