Join paper artist Shobhna Patel in this creative printmaking workshop, and explore how to
create handmade prints using paper cut-outs.
Throughout this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of this specialised form of
printmaking, how to create multi-layered prints and repeat patterns, how to confidently and safely use a scalpel/craft knife to create your own paper cut-outs ready to print with -
Shobhna will provide you with templates to carefully cut around. You will learn key techniques to control the cardstock and its behaviour, and hone your papercutting skills to create your own templates and prints at home.
Please bring with you either an apron/overalls/an old shirt to protect your clothing.
All other equipment and materials will be provided. No previous experience of printmaking or working with a scalpel/ craft knife is required, as Shobhna will carefully
guide you through each stage of the process.
By the end of the workshop not only will you have prints to take home with you, you will
have learned the practical skills to continue your printmaking journey!
