Saturday 3rd September 2022 sees a fabulous arrangement of activities and entertainment organised for everyone’s enjoyment.

The activities for the Fun Day will start at 11am. There will be a Community Cricket Match with a team from the Police, Fire Service and Peterborough City Council (PCC) staff versus the Combined Mosque.. In the afternoon, there will be a youngster’s match, supported by the Lords Taverners Wicketz project.

There will also be a choice of local arts and crafts stalls to browse, face painting and a funfair for the younger children.

The Dog Show starts at 2pm however entries for the classes will open at midday. There are ten classes that can be entered (for a small fee) which are - Pesky Pup (3-12 months), Gorgeous Girl, Brilliant Boy, Waggiest Woofer, Eyes to Make you Melt, , Most/Least Obedient, Young Handler (under 12 years), Owner Most Like Their Dog, Charismatic Canine and Best Rescue. There will be some lovely prizes worth winning that have been donated by local companies including the sponsors of the dog show, Byre Veterinary Surgery.

Remember that Central Park has lots of things to do and see during the day. There are sunken, sensory, and formal gardens to explore, an aviary to visit and flat paved nature walks suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

Families can enjoy the numerous toys in the adventure playground. The paddling pool should be open and very popular with under-fives if the weather is kind. Don’t forget the fabulous Willow Cafe, where families can take a well-deserved break and grab a bite to eat after all that fun.

Car parking space is limited in the area, so arrive early, or plan to take public transport.

Everyone is welcome to come along – entry is FREE.
