Easter Weekend on the NVR

About

11th 12th 13th April. Take a Steam hauled trip along the NVR over the  Easter Bank Holiday Weekend. Change trains at  Yarwell, Wansford, Overton, Orton Mere and Peterborough for a trip in our Swedish Railcar.

Easter marks the traditional start of family fun at the NVR we are planning a weekend of enjoyment for all. Definitely something for everybody.. if its raining, inside and when its fine, outdoors, all are invited to come along and join in.

Wear your Easter Bonnet on Easter Sunday and enter our Easter Bonnet Competition - Judging - 2pm on Sunday 12th April

Face painting available Saturday 11th & Monday 13th April 11:30 - 14:30

Storytelling and meet the Easter Bunny

Stop off at Yarwell for a Picnic in the Station Garden

Shop at Wansford for those essential Thomas and other railway gifts

Enjoy refreshments from our Café while watching the trains and ducks at our riverside picnic area

Break your journey at Overton and visit the country park

Visit the Turntable Cafe for meals, refreshments and ice creams, Childrens Picnic boxes available

Enjoy the Buffet Car on the train for snacks and refreshments
