About

Sacrewell welcomes resident artist Djibo Art

Where: Sacrewell, Great North Road, Thornhaugh, Peterborough, PE8 6HJ
When: 11am on February 12th 2022

Djibo Art is set to brighten up dreary February days when the artist’s colourful paintings and other objects will go on display at Sacrewell this month, with the grand opening of the exhibition taking place at 11.00 am on Saturday the 12th.

The award-winning international artist - real name Roland Burt - is delighted to be the new resident artist at Sacrewell, offering educational workshops and events, as well as showcasing his unique artwork. Featuring a distinctive blend of Yorkshire, African and Caribbean influences, art lovers will have the opportunity to snap up one of Burt’s paintings, home decor and even items of clothing.

He said: “I am bringing colour to Sacrewell! What most people don’t realise about my art is there are hidden messages in them; numbers and stories.

“As part of an educational trust, Sacrewell is the perfect base to be able to reach more people through the medium of art and inspire generations to come.”

With the launch taking place so close to Valentine’s Day, a romantic element will be incorporated into it - making it a great option for an alternative date idea for romantic couples!

Much more than just a historic farm, Sacrewell offers a variety of cultural and gastronomic events throughout the year that will appeal to visitors of all ages.
