In a city on the edge of collapse, Antigone must make a decision: to honour the memory of her dead brother, or to obey Creon, the city’s ruthless new ruler, who has decreed that her brother cannot be laid to rest. In this blistering new adaptation by Christopher Adams, the classic Greek tragedy by Sophocles is relocated to a dystopian future where one girl’s decision to take a stand leads to a family being torn apart. The play is presented by the BA (Hons) Performing Arts students from University Centre Peterborough as part of their Year 2 course work.
