Adult Papercraft Workshop

About

During this creative workshop, you will be given a brief introduction to the beautiful art of papercut illustrations. Contemporary papercraft illustrator Shobhna Patel will share her professional knowledge, key techniques and technical dos and don'ts of this artform.

Papercutting is a centuries old art, where illustrations and designs are cut into either paper or card to create a uniquely stunning and detailed artwork. In this papercutting workshop you will learn:

The fundamentalss of papercutting
How to confidently and safely use a craft knife to create an intricate paper decoration – Shobhna will provide you with a template to carefully cut around
Techniques to control the cardstock and its behaviour
Hone your papercutting skills to create your own papercut patterns and designs at home
All tools and materials will be provided, so you won't need to bring anything with you except a healthy dose of creativity.

Upon completion you will be able to take home an ornate paper creation. The perfect addition to your Christmas tree this year or the perfect gift to give to family and friends.
