A Victorian Seance

About

Discover the tools and history of the Victorian séance in this one-off interactive event especially for Halloween.

In Victorian times, the spiritualist movement was at its height and public theatrical displays of psychic power were common, especially séances. Some of the most well-known names of the age were believers - including author Arthur Conon Doyle.

For more than 100 years, séances have been used as an attempt by the living to communicate with the dead - and Victorian mediums had various techniques to convince an audiences of their skills!

In Peterborough's most haunted building this Halloween, join our experienced medium for a fun and unique event to discover the history of the Victorian séance. You'll also explore their tools, and see how they were used, with some live audience interaction.

The séance will last approximately 60 mins, and audience members are invited to stay for light refreshments after the event.
