INFORMATION ON HOW TO OBTAIN A BUS PASS

 

New applicants and renewals

If you are applying for a concessionary/senior bus pass, you will need to provide the following documents:-


• Proof of residency
• Proof of date of birth (Eligible after 65th Birthday)
• Passport-style photograph (Not required for renewals), with your full name printed on the reverse.

Applications can be submitted in person, by email or sent by post. Please send photocopies, do not send original documents.

 

If you are applying for a disability bus pass you will need to provide one of the following supporting documents which must be up-to-date:-


• Blue Badge
• Disability Living Allowance letter/ Personal Independence Payment letter (middle rate or higher)
• Education, Health and Care Plan
• Certificate of Vision Impairment
• Evidence or registration with an appropriate association or body
• Bus pass application form filled out by GP/NHS Mental Health Professional
• A letter from DVLA stating that you have been refused or revoked a licence for medical reasons


AND a passport-style photograph, with your full name printed on the reverse.

Disability applications can be submitted in person, by email or sent by post. Please send photocopies, not original documents.

Please note! All disability bus pass applications (except blind/partially sighted) can take up to 10 working days to process and will not be issued straightaway.


For Lost or damaged pass there is a charge of £10.00 for a replacement. There is no charge for stolen cards but a police crime reference number is required.
