About

Stanwick Lakes is a unique 750acre countryside attraction and nature reserve in the heart of Northamptonshire's beautiful Nene Valley, less than an hour’s drive from Peterborough. The site is widely considered to be one of the region's most imaginative outdoor activity destinations. There are extensive and imaginative play areas, open spaces and paths that families, walkers, cyclists and nature lovers can explore at leisure. The visitor centre, with café, shop and function space, hosts events, family celebrations, business meetings and craft workshops throughout the year. Discover more about the history of the site on our heritage trail and view archaeological finds, including a section of a Roman floor mosaic, which are on display on the mezzanine in the visitor centre.

There are many events to take part in including bird walks, traditional crafts courses, exciting family activities and much more. To find out about the Stanwick Lakes events programme, see our website or come to the Visitor Centre and pick up a leaflet.
