Chilly February!

Peterborough has events and festivals taking place all year and February is packed with 4 pages of things to do.

The main highlights for this month are Twelfth Night at Peterborough Cathedral on 13th-15th, also at the cathedral on the 16th are The Central Band of the Royal Air Force and Royal Air Force Wyton Area Voluntary Band in Concert, and for something exciting, Motorsport with Attitude is on at the East of England Arena on 16th-17th.

Other highlights are the ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Lecture at Peterborough Museum on 19th, Peterborough Photographic Society Exhibition at St John the Baptist Church on 25th, and for a scary thrill there’s a Peterborough Ghost Walk from the Museum on 19th.

February’s half-term provides plenty of fun things to keep the young ones busy with Railworld Wildlife Haven opening on 16th & 17th, Thomas Half Term Specials at Nene Valley Railway also on 16th & 17th, the Half Term Trail at Ferry Meadows is on the 16th plus they have a whole variety of fun events to choose from including nest box making & wild crafts throughout the half term week.

Further afield, enjoy strolling amongst the Snowdrops on some of the walks in the region, Deene Park on 17th & 24th and Easton Walled Gardens on the 16th – 24th and Peckover House have opened their gardens for winter on 9th-17th or enjoy one of their House Tours on 23rd – 24th.

Other highlights for February include the *daily Guided Tours of Peterborough Cathedral at 11.30 and 2pm. 

The Hidden Heritage Tour is the essential guide to Peterborough’s past running on the 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd of February from the Peterborough Museum at 2pm, plus the Priestgate Vaults tour will delight history lovers and run most days at 2.30pm.
